President Biden has hit the road to try to reassure anxious voters about the state of the economy and that he is actually focused on dealing with it as the First Lady prepares to hit the campaign trail

in an effort to boost some high-profile Democratic incumbents who find themselves fighting for their own political lives.

All of this comes as Democrats are trying to regain that lost midterm momentum from September, in large part due to the party's

data that is sitting out there. It's not just about messaging. It's the economy itself.

Today, Democrats did get some welcome headline relief, if you will, thanks to the news that the economy grew faster than expected in the last quarter, with GDP rising by 2.6%.

Now, you know, with all of these economic releases, there's always a but, as some economists pointed out.

And this but's an important one. When you look under the hood of those numbers, there's still plenty of cause for concern.

Consumers are starting to spend less, and everything is costing more.

But one of the reasons for this growth is people still have money in their pockets.

That said, parts of the housing market are collapsing due to rising mortgage rates.
