0:13.2	the closing bell. We're following the breaking news on Wall Street where markets took a massive
0:17.8	hit today. Not surprising, considering the ugly economic data that came out this morning.
0:23.0	Inflation is still red hot. There's been no slowing down as some had hoped in the Biden
0:27.5	White House gas prices are soaring. The recession fears are now rising. Stocks dropped after
0:33.0	the inflation report showed a much faster than expected rise in prices. We thought there
0:37.6	was going to be a slow down. President Biden is trying to tamp down those recession fears.
0:41.3	He addressed the issue of inflation this afternoon at the Port of Los Angeles trying to blame
0:45.8	the Warren U. Crane for this issue while vowing his own action.
0:50.0	Today I'd like to speak about my top economic priority, fighting inflation. I understand Americans
1:00.4	are anxious and they're anxious to the good reason. I was raised in the household when the price
1:04.8	of gasoline rose precipitously. It was the discussion at the table. It made a difference when food
1:10.4	prices went up. I'm doing everything on my power to blunt Putin's price hike and bring down the
1:15.6	cost of gas and food. So we're standing by for some additional remarks from the president.
1:20.9	In any moment now, as he attends the summit of America's in Los Angeles, the summit that the
1:24.6	United States is hoping will keep a close eye on what he has to say and bring you the most
1:28.2	important parts. All of this comes as we are also tracking the fallout from those remarkable
1:32.8	prime time hearings last night by the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th
1:36.8	insurrection. The committee appears to be assembling everything. It would need to make a criminal
1:40.7	referral to the Justice Department to potentially prosecute former President Trump. We'll have much
