And we're going to begin today with the latest out of Albuquerque, which has become the latest scene in a string of disturbing instances of political violence tied to election denialism.

Moments ago, the failed GOP candidate accused of hiring four men to shoot at the homes of local Democratic officials appeared in court for the first time since his arrest on Monday evening.

Solomon Peña, a very vocal Trump supporter, who echoed the former president's rhetoric with

false claims that his

own loss in a statehouse race was rigged, is facing charges on 15 counts, including conspiracy

and criminal solicitation. And according to information from police and local officials,

Peña personally confronted three different county commissioners and one state senator after he

some of whose homes were targeted in these shootings.
