There will be no second debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Now, we all sort of knew that was probably going to be the case.

Ever since his disastrous performance in the first debate with Kamala Harris,

Trump has been hinting that there would not be a second one.

And today was the deadline for both candidates to agree to a second debate last night, just ahead of that

deadline.

Trump made clear where he stands on the issue,

posting on truth social, ranting, if you will,

there will be no rematch, all caps.

So there you have it.

With just 26 days left until election day. So there will be no more opportunities for the candidates to contrast their

records and their vision side by side. The persuasion part of the campaign may indeed be coming to a

close and the mobilization stage would appear to be upon us. The campaigns are now

locked in a very tight battle to get their people to come out and actually vote.

Now, keep in mind that more than 3 million people have already voted either early or absentee and that reality is making

this mobilization push even more urgent. Earlier today Vice President Harris

was in Nevada where she attended a town hall with

Latino voters hosted by Univision. She then headed straight to Arizona for a

rally in the Phoenix area. As Harris barnstorms her way through the swing states her campaign is simultaneously

unleashing an army of high-profile surrogates for this final stretch.

Tomorrow, First Lady Jill Biden is also headed to Arizona to rally support in Phoenix and

Yuma.
