In a presidential election year, all eyes, understandably,

are on the two major party presidential campaigns.

We now, of course, have had both the Republican

National Convention and the Democratic National Convention. Every day we have new rounds of polling that come out.

Both the national polls and the swing state polls are generally telling the same story right now.

There's there's there's telling a story that that Vice President

Kamala Harris is doing significantly better against Donald Trump than

President Biden had been doing in his campaign. That is comparatively good

news for the Democrats. They are apparently better. That is from Biden to Harris. That said in absolute terms, the polls,

national polls and the swing state polls,

broadly speaking, don't really give either party

a reason to celebrate right now.

Vice President Harris may be doing better than Biden was against Trump,

but it doesn't mean that she is clearly winning against Trump.

It's basically a tie between the two candidates right now.

And that produces all sorts of interesting dynamics

to watch for.

When it is this close, little differences

between the candidates and their campaigns

can make a very interesting,
