0:03.1	DeFranco and today we're going to be talking about something that is
0:05.2	definitely going to get us demonetized.

0:14.6	prostitution and right now prostitution is only legal in one US state. Nevada
0:18.8	the state that I pronounced wrong for about 11 years but a thing you might not know
0:22.1	if you haven't looked too far into it is prostitution actually isn't legal in every county in Nevada.
0:26.6	So if you're going to go to Vegas soon you've had this in your mind, keep in mind that it is still actually illegal there.
0:31.1	And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas doesn't really apply to misdemeanors that could land you in jail for up to six months.
0:36.1	But all of that said today we're actually not talking about prostitution in Nevada.
0:39.4	Instead we're going to be focusing on the smallest state in the United States, Rhode Island.
0:43.2	And Rhode Island's really worth looking at for a few reasons.
0:45.2	For starters, it's the only state where prostitution has been legal statewide in recent years.
0:49.0	Also, it probably has the craziest history of sex work out of any state in the country.
0:52.8	I mean, for example, for more than 20 years,
0:55.0	Rhode Island accidentally legalized indoor prostitution.
0:58.0	And yes, I did actually just say accidentally.
1:00.4	Now right now, prostitution is illegal again in Rhode Island, but it may not stay that way for long.
1:04.8	Just recently a Rhode Island State Representative introduced legislation to create a special commission to study the health and safety impact of
1:10.5	revising commercial sexual activity laws, meaning that the state might be looking
