Summary

Kyle Bukauskas and Elliotte Friedman open this edition of 32 Thoughts with Pittsburgh’s classy nod to Alex Ovechkin’s 900th goal before diving into the struggles in St. Louis and questions around Jordan Kyrou’s effort. They look at Team Canada’s goaltending picture, react to Marcus Johansson’s controversial goal, and highlight the Ducks’ offensive surge. The guys discuss Auston Matthews’ strong performance, the Canucks’ ongoing struggles, and parallels between Matvei Michkov’s situation and Elias Pettersson’s last season. The episode closes with concern over the USHL’s uncertain future and a Final Thought on Hockey Hall of Fame week.
