And you'll hear in the background, the smooth sounds of the outdoor terrace of the arrive hotel in Austin just before we set off for the airport and the long journey home to the UK after what's been a pretty good week here in Texas.

It's been made to feel very welcome by all the guys and girls at the circuit of the Americas.

Whether other than race day has been, well, roasting.

Race day, if you watch that race, rather less so.

Stephen, how do you rate the event?

Great event.

Like the fact that we're seeing Cota develop as a circuit and as a venue.

It's clear they put a lot more time and effort into making the fan experience better, giving more stuff to do and look at and the paddock seemed more bustling. Loads of people from across the sport there, more so than normal I would say.

It's become a bit of a hub for sports car racing in general this event in North America

and it's come at the right time of year.

Yeah, great event.

Enjoyed every minute of being on site at Circulpt of the Americas, as we always do, enjoyed being in Austin because it's such a cool city.

Race itself had a bit of everything, didn't it? It was wet and wild and we've got plenty to talk about from that.

Lots of jeopardy, certainly.

We're going to get on, the meeting two veg of this show is less about the race and more about the surrounding picture, I think it's fair to say.
