Today in the Marshall Pruitt podcast, we have an old acquaintance joining us to talk about his brand new book, Winning in Reverse.

That is our man, Bill Lester, really looking forward to how folks respond to his autobiography.

One, where he used the help of the rather amazing long-time sports

car racing writer and reporter and also author of many fine books, Jonathan Ingram.

So Bill's new title winning in reverse.

Well, by chance, as a Bay Area guy and two Bay Area guys on the phone talking about his life and career in this

short form interview series catching up with. Well, got to see him as an amateur racer coming up

in the San Francisco region of the sports car club of America. It was great to catch up with Bill.

I'd say I've known him properly for 10, 15 years or so when he was focused most heavily in Grand Am.

Got to know a bit about his upbringing, his past, a little bit of which I knew, but not enough.

So I hope you'll enjoy that aspect. Talk about the road racing side for sure.

The NASCAR side, probably where most folks would know Bill's name, by chance.

That's where my greatest ignorance happens to fall.

So brought some insights for us there, but also wanted to leave a lot within the book for you to get and enjoy someone who's done a lot of good work over the years, done a lot of really

important things, really tried to bring racers of color along as well, promote any and all

things positive about this sport.
