with Joao Vallida al-Madar. Joao Vallade Al Valida Amida is the new European Union ambassador to the United Kingdom.

And I think this is this very first podcast.

So I'm very honored ambassador that you decided to do this with me as your first podcast expedition.

We're going to talk about Brexit because you're very much involved with that.

The negotiations are going on at the very

moment but before that I would like to ask you about your new job you've been in a function

for a few weeks now a few months and what is a EU ambassador to the UK doing all day what is

this job description you've given a blank sheet of paper by your bosses or you've given a very tight

job specification?

Well, great to be with you again, Paul.

Well, you know, I'm still trying to find my way in London, literally.

Don't have residence yet.

And it's been an extremely busy few weeks, then cut by, interrupted by the virus.

But it's been great. First of all, it's a great honor to be able to represent the Union in London, in the United Kingdom,

as the first investor after Brexit. And it's quite a unique experience, I can tell you.

And we are with my team building

as we speak you know my first line of priorities of course to work with our 27 European Union

member states ambassadors it's a great team we've had several meetings and they are experienced

diplomats they know more about the UK than I do, of course, most of them.

And I learn a lot from them.
