You know the great irony of loneliness especially in this age is this never before in world history have we been more connected to one another and at the same time disconnected from one another.

We're connected like never before geographically.

We're connected technologically as well and yet feelings of loneliness and isolation have never been more acute.

Welcome to Pathway to Victory with author and pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress.

You know loneliness is a challenge that almost everyone deals with yet no one really wants to admit it.

Loneliness can make us feel isolated even forgotten in a room full of people but with God's help you don't have to feel alone.

Today on Pathway to Victory Dr. Robert Jeffress identifies the cause of and the cure for loneliness.

When we read the Psalms it becomes quite clear that David was an open book.

Completely transparent David freely confessed his emotional weaknesses even things like loneliness and despair.

And it makes us love David because we get to those awful places of loneliness as well.

On today's program I'm going to look at God's word to discover how to conquer this mountain of loneliness.

See, few things are more isolating, more suffocating than feelings of loneliness.

In a desperate moment David wrote this plea,

oh God turned to me and be gracious to me for I am lonely and afflicted.
