Isaiah receives a push to start making better life decisions. This movie, co-written by the Kendrick brothers and directed by Alex Kendrick. Their previous films include

facing the Giants, fireproof with Kirk Cameron, the film Courageous in the year 2011, and

they're well known for faith films. I've heard them describe their movies as sermons.

They're very heavy-handed. They're not making any bones about it. We're here to preach to you.

Faith films have had a bit of a resurgence in the last five to ten years, and we've talked

about this before on the podcast, but I think their execution has been far more successful and convincing than, say,

faith films of the 1990s. Whereas Kendrick Brothers films are sermons, Angel Studios films,

which I think you could also characterize as faith films, are a little less heavy-handed.
