The plot line is historically responsible. It tells the real story of Lee Miller, who was a fascinating figure.

She was one of the most successful high fashion models in Paris and in New York and really around

the world in the 1930s. And then as she aged, she became a leader on the other side of the camera, becoming initially a fashion

photographer, and then as war clouds darkened Europe, she became a battlefield photographer and

achieved a great deal of acclaim and fame for capturing

in unforgettable photographs some of the first images of the piles of bodies and the

tortured and abused victims of the Holocaust.

And the setup for the movie, which is based on a biography by the son of Lee Miller,

Anthony Penrose, the setup for telling the story is the older Lee Miller before her death disclosing details of her career and her personal

life to an interviewer much younger who at least the way the film is set up doesn't know very

much about her.
