Summary

Mike talks about the Top 10 Film Franchises with the movies each. From Star Wars to James Bone. He plays the game: Dead, Alive or Revive when deciding which of them have peaked and which still have life in them that we’re not burnt out on watching.  In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Predator: Badlands starring Elle Fanning. It’s set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, cast out from his clan, teams up with a humanoid robot on a dangerous mission to find the ultimate enemy. Mike talks about how you can hop into this movie without seeing any other Predator film, the language that was created for it and how it unexpectedly had a lot of heart.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Scream 7 where Ghostface is back and so is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. This time the killer is after her daughter. Mike talks about how the Scream franchise keeps sucking him back in after he thought he was done and why we are doomed for constant reboots and sequels.

Hello and welcome back to Movie Mike's movie podcast. I am your host, Movie Mike, today. I want to talk about franchises with the most films. I have the top 10. How many are in each of the franchises? And we'll talk about dead, alive, or revive. We're going to play that game because there's a movie coming out this week.

0:26.8

Predator Badlands that I did not realize has seven movies inside of it. So I'll give my thoughts on that movie in the spoiler-free movie review. In the trailer park, speaking of franchises with a lot of

0:32.4

movies, Scream 7 is coming out next year. We'll talk all about that. Thank you for being here.

Franchises with the most films, that is what we are here to talk about today.

1:12.3

Because in my research on this week's movie review for Predator Badlands, I did not realize there were seven Predator movies inside of that franchise. So I have the top 10 and we are going to play Dead, Alive, or Revive. Do these franchises need to be dead and call it quits? Maybe they don't have any other new movies on the horizon and they should keep it that way? Should they stay alive? Meaning they have

1:17.1

maybe a sequel coming out, another movie coming out inside of the franchise? Or have they not

1:22.3

put out a movie in a while and we need to revive them? So let's get right into the list.

1:26.8

At number 10, we have a three-way

1:30.0

time between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Muppets franchise, and Mission Impossible. Each of

1:36.4

these movies both have eight inside of the franchise. Not each number is going to have multiple

1:41.7

franchises inside of them, but they just happen to be all

1:44.6

tied with eight movies. So for this one specifically, we'll assign one of these categories to each

1:51.0

of them. I'm going to start with dead because I think Mission Impossible should just be dead.

1:55.0

Tom Cruise rode that movie out, really went out on a whimper. I know they're going to inevitably try to revive this franchise,

2:02.8

but I think we should block it because I just don't think the excitement is there anymore. As much as I

2:09.0

enjoyed part one of the last mission impossible movie, I just feel that franchise should be dead
