This is a show where Briggs and I leap into a random week of a random year and talk about the hit song, the hit movie, and the headlines, everything basically that was making that time period unique.

And we are in right at the beginning of September, 2007 talking 310 to Yuma

and Stronger by Easy. Yay. Kanye. The man himself. Yeah. 2007. Western. It's a Western, Matt.

Pretty standard Western, I feel like. Standard, huh?

Or like, maybe not standard, but like, true to the classics of the genre.

True to the classics.

In mood and tone, you know.

But I'm just wondering if you're besmirching it like that. Are you saying? Oh, no. No, I'm saying it's a good example of a Western. I had some issues, I think, but it was pretty enjoyable. It's fun to watch. The acting is great. I thought

Christian Bale and Russell Crowe were both excellent. Killers, yeah. They're awesome. And it's

good supporting cast, too. It looked great. But I feel like the screenplay

didn't make a lot of sense at parts. Oh, nice. Yeah.

We should definitely talk about that.

But I think you're right.

It's pretty straight down the middle.

It has all the elements of a classic Western.

Exactly.

Right. I guess classic is the word I was thinking of, not standard.

You got the desert scenery, and you've got the saloons, and you've got the shootout and you've got the shootout and you got the stage

hard men doing hard things. Hard men doing hard things. It's not a porno either. It's just a,

it's just a Western. Definitely not. And yeah, like it in it's so right from a like a story perspective, it's not really breaking any ground, breaking every any, any, break in any ground.
