We know Dan Markell is the FSU Law Professor gunned down in his Tallahassee driveway back on July 18, 2014.

And then you've got Luis Rivera, the Latin King's gang member who cut a plea deal.

You've got Katie Magbanawa,

the mother of Siegfriedo Garcia's children and the one-time girlfriend of Dan Markell's

ex-brother-in-law, Charlie Adelson. She's serving a life sentence in state prison as well.

And then, of course, you've got the family, the Adelson family.

Charlie Adelson convicted the ex-brother-in-law back in November of 2023.

And just in September, September 4th, 2025, the matriarch, the people who the state say help mastermind this plot.

Donna Adelson also convicted in a Tallahassee courtroom set to spend the rest of her life at age 75 in a Florida state prison,

essentially with no hope of ever seeing daylight again.

She is awaiting sentencing.

But one person remains a little mercurial,

a little tough to figure out,

sometimes camouflaging into the background, but at other times sticking out like a sore thumb.

And that, of course, is Dan Markell's ex-wife, Wendy Adelson.
