A day of morning in Israel and in the wider Jewish world as Hamas hand over four coffins,

two of them containing the bodies of children.

Today is Thursday, February 20th, 2025, 503 days since October 7th, 2023.

And we've had no shortage of heartbreaking days since.

But I think today has been one of the most painful days.

Shiri Bibas was 32 when kidnapped her sons, Ariel. He was four years old.

Kfir was nine months old. And Odad Lifchitz also from Kibbutz Neroz was 84 years old.

They were all kidnapped alive on October 7th, all returned in coffins today.

Erden Bibas, the only one from the family to return alive only at the beginning of this month

after being held by Hamas. His sister, Afri, said a few weeks ago, when Kfir was supposed to be two years old,

she said, I'm frightened of the certainty that has been chasing us for a year,

but has not yet knocked on our door.

So that certainty has come knocking today.

And that personal tragedy of two families, the Bebas family and the Lifshitz family,

turned into a day of mourning today in Israel.

Obviously, the kidnapping of the Bebas family, encapsulating the horror of October 7th,

not only the cruelty of the enemy, right, that does not have any red

lines in kidnapping, you know, young children and their mother, but also that picture that went

around the world of Shiri frightened, trying to protect her two sons, every parent thinking
