But we began on Capitol Hill.

Early Friday morning, the House and Senate agreed on a financial reform compromise

that is expected to pass and be signed into law by President Obama.

Among the highlights, the bill sets up a new consumer financial protection bureau

to safeguard borrowers. Most derivatives would be traded on public exchanges,

not in private side deals, and the government would be given the power

to seize and close down large failing firms in an orderly fashion.

Shannon Zimmer, obviously there's a lot there, but what did you think of the bill

and what does it mean for the average investor?

I think the bill looks great on paper, but the rules

that will govern how it is implemented will make all the difference.
