On Friday, the government reported that the unemployment rate in February held steady at 9.7%.

Now Seth, we also got reports of some strong retail numbers in February.

Better than expected news on both fronts. What do you think it means for investors?

Well, I will hit retail because there are varying reports out there.

Everyone seems to have their own version of what a retail report is.

So you have people saying it's the best overall level of retail sales since some time in 2007.

Other saying it's the biggest gain for the month since then.

Actually, when I look through some of the chain stores that have reported here,

you do see some numbers that might be a little bit surprising.

You've got a lot of increases, some aeropostol up 7%.

American Eagle outfit is up 6%. Even gap up 3%.
