If you want to understand the white supremacist movement today, you have to talk to someone who got out.

So how did you end up going to Germany?

I knew it was the first time that American bands within the movement were playing anywhere outside of the US.

And I wanted to be a part of it.

I was doing a lot of things on stage besides singing, things that were illegal, like giving Hitler salute, saying things like Sieg Heil.

We are a skin as bad for America. We are called the final Solution Sieg Heil.

In the early 80s, the KKK was in decline and American Nazis were at joke.

But then a different kind of music lured in a new generation.

Young neo-Nazi skinheads became the frontline soldiers for a coming race war.

The ranks of racist skinheads have faded, but the message that drew them in then is more powerful than ever with young people now.

I mean, I'm still very fresh out of this stuff, so I'm not like, you know, fully de-radicalized.
