And they're great commercials, man.

So Michael Jordan could have picked any Madison Avenue director, any Madison Avenue director.

He chose Spike Lee. Spike Lee had never directed. I don't think he even directed any films yet to that point.

Certainly never did a commercial. Yet he chose this unknown, you know.

And the reason I wanted to share this in a motivational minute today is because a lot of people get caught up, well, I'm not famous. Hey, let your work speak for yourself. People are watching. You never know who's watching. You never even know who knows about you. That's the beauty of getting started. Because you'll never have the opportunity for you never get started. Michael just pluck Spike Lee out of a, I mean, no experience whatsoever. And the rest is history. Those two have been attached at the hip for the past 40 years. Michael hasn't even played basketball in two decades, and he's more influential now than he ever was. Why? Because of the image, the brand, the influence a whole other podcast.
