Summary

It’s 2014, and we’re in Mexico. Twenty-year-old Karen Rodriguez is on her way to meet some friends when she is kidnapped by cartel members. The abductors send a ransom demand to her terrified family, which they pay straight away. However, Karen is never returned. Her mother, Miriam, might not have a police badge or a private eye license, but when the police refuse to help, she takes the law into her own hands. Armed with a gun, an array of disguises, and an unquenchable thirst for justice, Miriam will come up against some of the most ruthless men in the country. 0:56.0	Amidst the fading light, 20-year-old Karen Rodriguez waits behind the wheel of her car at an intersection.
1:04.0	Two pickup trucks make their way slowly up the main road. The tinted windows obscure the identities of those inside.
1:11.6	Suddenly, they burst forward, veering off the road and positioning themselves on either side of Karen's car,
1:18.6	effectively caging her in. A handful of men get out. They're clad in camouflage fatigues.
1:25.6	Their eyes masked by the mirrored sunglasses they're wearing.
1:29.3	One man stands out. He's shorter and slimmer than the others. There's a menacing aura around him.
