For those who have been listening the past several weeks, we have just finished our Theologian

series where I interviewed five of the leading Theologians discussing several critical

issues facing the church. For the next five weeks, we will be resharing or re-airing our

As many of you know, I am on sabbatical for the next few weeks and will return with a

regular schedule for Real Christianity coming this May. So for today, our second most listened

episode is episode number 67 titled The Self-Love Delusion.

Over the past several years, I've noticed this growing trend of self-love and self-care,

which again, I think are two different things, but this is the self-love movement. And it's

a long celebrated idea in the culture, but it's now it's even become a celebrated idea

in the church. I've actually seen churches do entire sermon series on self-love and how

to do it and how to love yourself better. If you just Google around, you actually see

those sermon series that they do exist. And you know, I basically think that those

sermon series are psychologically driven infotainment to accommodate the desires of the congregation

...
