monumentally expensive mistakes that will go down in history for all the wrong reasons.

Critics quickly began talking about the actor's haphazardly blurry upper lip, which made Superman look

perplexingly non-human in various close-up shots throughout the film. As it turns out, this unnerving

facial deformity was the result of an embarrassing and costly mistake, especially considering

Justice League ended up being the lowest grossing movie in the DC extended universe. After filming

rapt, Warner Bros. realized they needed to schedule some urgent reshoots for extra scenes,

but there was one small problem. Cabell was already filming for Mission Impossible 6,

and he'd grown a big old mustache especially for it. Despite Warner Bros. arguing how much easier it would be to

add a virtual mustache to the actor for Mission Impossible then remove it for Justice League

and even offering to pay for the work themselves, Paramount Bann Cavill from

shaving his facial hair. With no other option, Bfx artists had to painstakingly remove the stash scene by scene,

which, along with the payout of organizing the reshoots, ended up costing a whopping $25 million.

A hefty fine to pay for just one mustache.
