These are tiny mammals that look like a cat and a weasel made a really weird baby.

Native only to Asia and Africa, Kopi Luok is is made from the dung of civets who have eaten

coffee cherries, digested the fruit, and pooped out the beans.

But why on earth would anyone grind up and drink something derived from poop?

Well, civets are picky eaters and will only chow down on the ripest cherries.

The animal's digestive enzymes then remove some of the

acidity from the beans, which makes for a much smoother cup of coffee with an almost caramel
