Summary

With a worldwide pandemic and the companion efforts to stop it, reading about a people who were gathered in families, "being separate one from another", and who "remain[ed] in their tents" to hear the word of God seems very apropos. In this episode we begin to unlock the promise King Benjamin gives to his people in his masterful sermon that if they would hearken to his words and open their ears and hearts that "the mysteries of God may be unfolded to [their] view." Want to know what is going on and maybe even have a glimpse of what might be coming? King Benjamin and his people might just have some answers. We are Zach and Krista Horton, your host, and we are back after a week break.

0:22.8

Hello. A couple of weeks a break for you in General Conference and Easter, and it's been a

0:28.4

crazy couple of weeks. Yeah, we skipped a couple weeks of the podcast, or maybe just one,

0:32.9

I don't know, maybe time's all slurring together for you like it is for us. But regardless, we are excited to be back here,

0:41.5

jumping into a new book of scripture, which is always kind of fun to do.

Anything to say?

You know, I guess we could talk about this.

1:05.3

and we didn't even know it. I just ran into some. The Easter bunny gave our kids some squish mullos.

1:11.1

And they were thrilled, to say the least. And we all need a little bit of comfort. Those things

1:15.8

are very comforting. They're very nice and squishy and kind of like a marshmallow, hence the name.

1:22.2

By the way, these are not sponsored, but we're going to say one more thing that I think is maybe more important than

1:28.7

a Squishmalo because something that made me like Jesus a lot more was the chosen TV series that

1:34.8

just came out through Vid Angel. They are producing it or sponsoring it. Do you know, Zach?

1:39.5

Yeah, it came out, I think, a year or two ago. We were just slow on the uptake, but right now,

1:43.5

if you download the app,

1:44.7

you can view the episodes for free and then you can donate to help them do season two and you can

1:49.6

donate to help other people get free episodes and spread it around. Yeah, just some really good.

1:54.3

Some really moving. I mean, obviously it's Jesus so we like him. But anyway, our family really enjoyed it. So something to look for
