In today's devotional, we're going to build on the foundation we built yesterday

by looking at different stories in which God made his presence known in a perspective-changing way.

Today we'll look at Moses in the tent of meeting.

May God make all our faces shine in his presence today,

that the world would see the goodness that comes from spending meaningful time alone with God.

And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of the bush.

He looked and behold the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed.

Exodus 3, 2.

Two of the most powerful records encountered of God's presence are found with Isaiah and Isaiah 6 1 through 7 and with Moses and Exodus 3, 2 through 6. Let's open our hearts to both learn from

these encounters and allow them to guide us into a powerful encounter with the living God

ourselves. In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and

lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings. With two he covered his face,

and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said,

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of host. The whole earth is full of his glory. And the foundations of the thresholds shook

at the voice of him who called. And his house was filled with smoke. And I said,

woe is me, for I am lost. For I am a man of unclean lips. And I dwell in the midst of a people

of unclean lips. for my eyes have seen

the king, the lord of hosts.

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken

with his tongs from the altar, and he touched my mouth and said,

Behold, this has touched your lips.

Your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for. Isaiah 6 1 through 7.
