Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Morning Run.

I'm Amy Robach.

And I'm T.J. Holmes on the run this morning.

Going to be making stops on Capitol Hill and Utah, Coral Springs, Florida, Brooklyn, Broadway,

Phoenix, Italy, and Hershey, Pennsylvania.

But we do want to start this morning with reaction to President Trump's prime time address,

not reaction from Roves, Democrats, Republicans, or some other politicians, but reaction

from the markets. and this kind of tells

you a lot of what you need to know. That's right, because it appears that investors did not

like what they heard from the president last night, because we now can see that oil prices

have jumped more than 7 percent, and that happened immediately after his speech. That's pretty remarkable. Yeah, I mean, he speaks.

I mean, the most powerful man in the world, bully pulpit, all that stuff they say. He speaks and he has

sent the markets up and down for the past several weeks just by saying a few words. And it appears

it's not what he said, but perhaps more importantly, what he didn't say.

Yes, he did not say, one, exactly when this thing is going to end, and two, he didn't say how negotiations were going. So those things left out. Oil prices, as we just mentioned,

jump. Markets around the world took a tumble, in particular in Asia. As of this recording,
