Good morning, everyone, and thanks for joining us on this Wednesday morning run.

It is Wednesday, May 6th, and I'm Amy Robo.

And I'm T.J. Holmes, and we need to get right to a couple of stories here. A lot going on with that cruise ship, that floating nightmares is being called off the coast of West Africa. We got some fast-moving updates there, but we do want to update you about what's going on in the war with Iran, and that was a pretty big about-faced by the president yesterday.

So, yeah, remember, we told you earlier this week about the new U.S. mission to guys ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

Well, never mind.

That's right, because just one day after putting Project Freedom in place, President Trump announced yesterday he is pausing that very operation. The president claimed on truth social that

Pakistan and other unnamed countries requested that he paused the operation saying that great

progress has been made toward a final agreement. Yeah, said the pause would last for a short

period of time to see whether or not the agreement can be finalized. So that is where

we are right now. Where you and all Americans are right now is $4.53 cents a gallon gas. That shot up

about a nickel robes overnight. Oil prices did fall a little bit yesterday upon news hearing that maybe the idea of a final

agreement was coming, but the gas is still ticking up, up, up. Yes, that is unfortunate. And also

some scary news, just developing news, just coming out this morning from another remote area in the

Atlantic, the Hanta

virus cruise ship that's been floating off the coast of West Africa.

Yeah, it has no place to go.

Spain had said late yesterday that it would welcome the ship and its passengers and its crew,

that it was its humanitarian and moral obligation to do so until the Canary Islands heard that that's where Spain wants those passengers to disembark.
