This is the baseball tonight podcast for Thursday August 26, 2021. I'm

Buster only working for my home in New York working from his home

studio in the foothills of Connecticut is stylish when you can tell it

there's only one way to start the show today. That's right. Hallelujah. Because the

Baltimore Orioles losing streak of 19s to consecutive games is overtail or

described what it was like in your apartment last night. Well Buster it was a

muted celebration because I felt like it was like winning like a battle of

attrition and it really wasn't even that big of a win. It was like we got out and

didn't lose all the tanks you know and we'll live to maybe fight another day

but it could be worse tomorrow. I know I said on the podcast that I was you know

rooting for this losing streak to continue in a way I you know I kind of was

and because it was just like a like a horrific spectacle to watch and like if

they're just gonna keep losing like why not be the best losers of all time but

happy for everyone involved from the players the coaching staff the fans maybe

not Michaelize because this is what he wanted I guess Brandon Hyde looked like

he was gonna cry last night in his post game Crest Conference so happy for all

the guys and you know hopefully they don't start another losing streak again

against the raise this weekend. That's exactly right you know really happy for

the individual players who are suffering through this because this is hard and

when you start getting up to numbers like that it's absolutely brutal in the

year of Shohei Otani the Orioles hit three homers off the Angels two-way player

and came back from a deficit busting out in the eighth inning.
