Good morning. Welcome to the morning motivation. Thank you for being here. We're talking this

week about remembering. God telling you to remember all the time. It's got to be important.

I think my favorite command to remember is in the New Testament. Ephesians 2.12, remember that at

that time, you are separate from Christ, excluded from

citizenship in Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without

God in the world.

But now, in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Think about who you used to be, the things you used to do, the thoughts you used to have.

Think about who you would be if you were still doing those things,

if you were still separate from Christ. Think about how you would live if you were still

without hope, without God, if you have not been brought close.

Remember what it was like.

You were dead in trespasses and sins.

The ones in which you once walked,

you were following the course of this world.

You were following the prince of the power of the air.

You were living in the passions of the flesh. You were carrying out the desires of the body and the mind. That's who you used to be

what you used to do. Remember that time. That's what you were, but God. You once were a slave to sin,

an orphan, unclean, lost, but God. And then Ephesians 219, consequently you are no longer

foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household,

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.

In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
