Summary

We're going to take the week to break down the very first Beatitude. What does it mean to be "poor in spirit"? It's the first one for a reason. In a culture that is obsessed with SELF-esteem, SELF-reliance, SELF-confidence and SELF-expression, and all you have to do is believe in yourSELF, being poor in spirit is a huge relief. Good morning, happy Monday. Welcome to the morning motivation. This week we are going to talk about

I don't know the word spirit. Poor and spirit. Okay, sure, yeah. We just move on without saying, well, what is, I don't know what that means.

1:47.3

So that's going to be the theme of the week.

1:49.6

Buckle up.

1:50.6

A couple intro points before we get going.

1:52.5

First, there is no one who is in the kingdom of God who is not poor in spirit.

2:00.7

So we better figure out what it is.

2:04.6

If you want to be in the kingdom of God,

2:06.8

you have to be poor in spirit.
