Last Friday, 29 year old New Orleans police officer, father of two Marcus McNeil was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Now, according to Nola.com McNeil and three other officers came upon something suspicious while patrolling an area in the city.

When the officers then got out of their car, a gunman opened fire shooting McNeil several times.
