it's been many, many years that they've had sanctions. And as you know, there was a very big change

at the top. I met the new leader of the country, and he's got a strong pass. I'd be very nice.

I think he'll be a great representative, and we'll see.

That was President Trump earlier this morning talking about one of the major moments of his foreign trip.

Right now, he is speaking to U.S. troops at a military base in Qatar.

It was used as a staging ground during the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and has supported the recent U.S. air campaign against Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis.
