More cancellations and delays are expected today

as the unions speak out to say this disaster could have been avoided. I'm Jonathan Lemire.

It has been days since that winter storm paralyzed much of the country,

but yet there is little relief expected anytime soon

for Southwest Airlines customers.

The company has already canceled more than 2,300 flights today, about 58% of its daily schedule.

This, after more than 2,500 flights were canceled yesterday and a total of 11,000 over the past week. Many passengers say they still have not received

any refunds for canceled flights, even after being told to do so by the Department of Transportation.

The Southwest Airlines pilots and flight attended unions say the meltdown was avoidable

and that they've been warning the airline
