John Delinn. It is May 29th, 2024 and we have groundbreaking interview today. Today we're interviewing Martin Lock. Hey Martin how's it going?

Really good. Thank you, Jean. Good to be here. Martin, aside from being a brilliant

fellow from the UK from England, London, or Bristol depending on, you know, how much detail you want to know.

What's significant about Martin other than his amazing Mormon story is for the first time

we have a Mormon stories a former member of a Mormon L. D.S. Church Temple presidency and a Temple

Seeler. So that's fascinating in and of itself and it's kind of a first on

Mormon stories podcast. We all know now that in the in and

for the past, in and of itself and it's kind of a first on more of my story and for the past five, ten years,

Russell, I'm Nelson has just been going bananas,

building or announcing temples all over the world.

And so talking about temple work is something that's kind of really important

because it's a real big emphasis for the Mormon Church right now. But it's also relevant.

This interview is important in my opinion because the Mormon Church is dying in the UK,

in Western Europe, and in many parts of the world.

Now it's growing in Africa and because of birth rate it's slowly growing in Utah, but in so many parts of the world the Mormon Church is

hemorrhaging and it's especially hemorrhaging in the UK and you know Martin

has been a member in the UK for 57?

Almost 57 years.

So we're going to be talking about his conversion to the church, his younger

years in the church and what it meant to him and what he valued in it.
