| 0:03.0 | Good morning, Apes. |
| 0:05.0 | I hope everybody is killing it as usual here today and hope everybody woke up feeling well. |
| 0:19.0 | Had their morning jewel rips, their morning coffee, and most of all all that morning we don't have to talk about what goes on in the bathroom |
| 0:23.9 | but it is approximately 825 a.m. here on this beautiful march 7th, 2024 it is Thursday here |
| 0:31.1 | everybody so you know we're coming at you with all the market moves of yesterday. |
| 0:35.1 | Get you nice and ready before the 9.30 open here this morning. Everybody knows this is easily the most important, most impactful, and most insightful financial podcast slash video series on the internet right now. So thank you for joining in with us. Congratulations. You are on the ground floor. We can't wait until we see where we go with you guys. We got a lot to talk about here today, but it probably is going to be a little bit shorter, so you guys can hear me yap a little bit less here this morning. Now, we get a lot to talk about because there is some important stuff going on here this week. Nothing more important than a man himself, Mr. Jerome Powell, taking a trip on down to Capitol Hill to go and get absolutely roasted essentially for two days by the House Financial Services Committee. We'll see what's going on in that department. And of course, we have the major stock bovers of the day for you. Crowdstrike absolutely killing it on earnings. And then we're going to bully some other stocks as well. So definitely stay tuned for our outlook on a lot of the stocks that we cover, as well as our overall view of the cybersecurity market going forward. Then most of all stay tuned for our view on what Morgan Stanley is saying. We actually got a report yesterday. It was, I think it was produced by my girlfriend's cat that said they're projecting a 50% increase in catnip sales this year. So, oh, wait a minute, my bet, my bet. No, it's actually Morgan Stanley is predicting a 50% increase in M&A activity this year. |
| 1:45.3 | Basically the exact same thing. I just kind of mix up my words right there. But we'll be talking about it all, so make sure you stay tuned with us. We can let you know exactly what's going to be going on towards the end of this year in the IPO, M&A, and other transaction activities market. Before we do that, let's go ahead and take a look at the market snapshot, holding ourselves accountable, letting you guys know how much we are underperforming by. It's actually not even that much here today because the alpha portfolio absolutely dominated yesterday. Like I said, the allocation to some type of security names, as well as, of course, our Bitcoin allocation is a huge help on days like yesterday as well, because what we saw yesterday was the S&P rise about 51 basis points, the NASDAQ up 58 basis points, |
| 2:22.9 | respectable. |
| 2:23.6 | They're trying their best. |
| 2:24.6 | You know, we'll cut them some slack for that. |
| 2:26.3 | But Bitcoin rose about 3.82% in Ethereum ripped more than I knew was possible, but it flew |
| 2:31.4 | 6.5% on the day yesterday. |
| 2:52.0 | And taking that all in, we saw a 79 basis point rise from WSO Alpha. That means we are still informing the S&P 500, but not by much at all. We're at about 7.6% year to date, the S&B at 7.63. The NASDAQ just dominating, humiliating us with an 8.57% return. It's kind of like LeBron James dunking in your face, to be quite honest here, but you know, we're Brody Jr. We're coming up right now. We might not even get drafted, but hey, we got all the potential in the world. And isn't that what it's all about anyway? All right, but let's go ahead and move down into some banana a bit of the day here. So first and foremost, I did want to give you guys an update for |
| 3:09.2 | Mr. Gerald Powell. He, of course, came in and was spending some game on Capitol Hill yesterday. We spent a lot of time talking about the takeaways and what this means kind of longer term. We're seeing B.C., you know, because they have to basically take up some amount of space on the internet every day or, you know, attract their clickbaity bullshit. This is exactly what they did yesterday. They dive into some of your own Pals quotes. It's some of the best Ben speak that you could ever see, really risen up everybody on the House Financial Services Committee, although, you know, it didn't last very long. He was getting absolutely hammered, and not in the good way by a whole lot of those senators there. Now, moving on down below, we're seeing some interesting activity in New York Community Bank stock. |
| 3:45.4 | Shares have been getting absolutely destroyed yesterday and ripped because of this weird little announcement. |
| 3:50.5 | So it turns out the firm is actually going to receive an additional $1 billion in funding from a group of investors. |
| 3:55.0 | And this is led by the former Treasury Secretary |
| 3:57.8 | Steve Manukin, or Manucin, whatever the fuck it actually is. I didn't realize that this was entirely |
| 4:03.2 | legal. I'm sure there's some huge conflict of interest there because we know anytime politicians |
| 4:07.7 | or former politicians do anything with their money, it has to be insider trading. It is a conflict |
| 4:11.9 | of interest. Just like in Nancy Pelosi's recent invidia trades. Tell me that isn't the easiest lot of pass in the entire world, but obviously |
