Summary

In this episode, Laura shares three haunting auditory experiences that have left her questioning the unseen forces around us. In 1991, while serving as a Mormon missionary in Puerto Rico, Laura and her companion were disturbed by the sound of a chair being dragged across the room. Later, as her mother battled cancer, Laura heard snoring and crochet needles clicking in her bedroom—sounds reminiscent of her mother. Finally, after watching The Conjuring 2, Laura was terrified by the sound of boxes being dragged in her attic and knocking in threes. Though she’s never seen a ghost, these eerie encounters have shown her there’s more to the world than meets the eye.

0:06.3	I'm calling from Idaho.
0:08.0	I have three stories that I think are pretty interesting.
0:12.5	The first one happened to me in 1991.
0:16.0	I was a Mormon missionary, actually, in Puerto Rico.
0:19.9	And my companion and I lived in a small home in the country, and we had two twin beds,
0:28.4	and really the only furniture we had other than that was a small table and two little chairs
0:33.3	kind of out in our sitting room.
0:35.0	That's basically about it.
0:37.1	And one night in the summer of 91, we were both awakened by the sound of one of those
0:43.4	little chairs out in the little sitting room being dragged across the floor, like at length,
0:50.5	like probably a 15 second drag and then picked up and dropped. At this point, we had both
0:56.4	woken, awakened, and it happened a second time. It got dragged for several seconds and picked up and
1:04.3	dropped. We were in another room, so we didn't see it. We just could tell what it was. And so
1:09.6	she said, she called my name and said, do you hear that?
1:13.1	And I said, yes, what is going on? And she said, I don't know. And then it happened a third time. A chair was, you could just tell what it was. It was a chair being dragged by something and picked up and dropped. At this point, I summoned some courage, and I went out and looked out in the doorway at the table and chairs and saw nothing unusual.
1:35.0	Our windows were shut and locked.
1:37.2	Our door was shut and locked, and our little place was so small that we would have heard anything coming or going.
1:44.4	So I had thought, well, maybe it was a snake, but what snake could pick up a chair and drop it?
1:48.8	I just really felt like it was some entity or spirit there that wanted us to know that it was there.
1:55.1	It was a little disconcerting.
