Hey there from CNN. I'm David Rind with the five things you need to know for Tuesday, February 24th.

For those of you like me in the Northeast digging out from the record-breaking bomb cyclone, I got some bad news.

It's not over yet. More than two feet of snow has been dumped across several states over the past two days,

with dangerous conditions prompting multiple emergency declarations and travel bans as tens of millions of people under blizzard warnings hunkered down.

CNN meteorologist Derek Van Dam joins us right now. Derek, we're not out of the woods yet.

That's brutal to hear, I got to say. Yeah, David, say it ain't snow. Oh, see what I did there.

You're right. There is another weak clipper system that is going to bring us a quick shot of one to two inches of snowfall on Wednesday in the northern, mid-Atlantic and across the coastal areas of New England.

So those hardest hit areas from the departing bomb cyclone.

Temperatures are going to hover at or just above the freezing mark the next couple of days,

but there's some signs that a warming trend will take place over the weekend.

Hopefully we can melt some of the snow across the city streets.

Tonight is President Donald Trump's first State of the Union address of his second term,

and it may be met with skepticism by Americans who were promised an improved economy.

On top of that, unpopularity in polling is really starting to catch up at the president.

CNN's Elena Trin has more on what we can expect tonight.

He's really planning to tick through what he deems as his administration's

biggest accomplishments from his first year in office.

However, one of the key questions, of course, is how he actually talks about the issues

that Americans want him to be talking about.

And the big one is going to be the economy and affordability.
