Summary
Jimbo’s joined by the Euro crew as James Horncastle, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús and Julien Laurens assemble for our weekly slice of continental action.
We begin in La Liga, where Real Madrid continue to falter - held to their third consecutive draw, this time at the hands of Girona. Barca managed to take advantage and reclaim top stop after their 3-1 win over Alaves - but there’s just a point between each of the top four as the title race hots up!
In France, Paul Pogba’s Monaco toppled PSG! But Marseille also managed to drop points! So it’s Lens who go top of the table! For the first time since 2004!
Over in Italy, Milan continued their remarkable record against Serie A’s big boys in their 1-0 win over Lazio. It means they’re top of the league - but only on goal difference after Napoli’s narrow 1-0 win at Roma on Sunday night. Plus, the sorry tale of Fiorentina’s winless campaign.
And in the Bundesliga, Bayern need TWO stoppage time goals to get the better of lowly St Pauli, stretching their lead at the summit to eight points - while Arsenal loanee Fabio Vieira bagged a 94th minute winner of his own to help Hamburg get the better of Stuttgart.
Produced by Lucy Oliva.
