Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here, and today we're going to be talking about some price changes

and timeline updates that Tesla has made in the design studio.

We also have a new analyst covering Tesla's stock, we'll talk about his price target

and note.

A couple of updates out of China, including an interesting quality report, news on the

Tesla semi, and some macro related news as well.

Stronger day for tech and growth stocks today than Azdaq finishing up 2.5% versus the

Dow up 6.10% of a percent, Tesla finishing up 4.7% to $699.60.

The big macro news for today is President Biden a day earlier than expected, signing these

stimulus we've built into law, and he'll be addressing the nation tonight probably

right around the time this podcast is published 8 p.m. Eastern time, 5 p.m. Pacific time.

It'll be interesting to see if he has any comments about next orders of business, which

we'll come back to a little bit later in the episode.

First up, let's talk about pricing, Tesla last night made their third change to prices

in the US in the last month, changing pricing on some versions of the Model 3, the Model

Y, and the Model S, holding Model X steady.

So here are those changes over the last month, it's color coded from a customer perspective

so green means a lower price, red means a higher price.

If we look at the changes from yesterday and March week 2, we see that for the Model

3, we had a $500 price increase on both the standard range plus and the long range nonperformance.

So previously those had both been dropped by $1000 since the start of the year, now $500

since January 1st net net, those two variants have come down $500.
