Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I have a quick update about a couple of things.

I'm going to host another set of Patreon Zoom calls on Sunday the 7th of September.

There will be calls at 1, 5 and 9pm UK time. Hopefully that gives your time zone a shot at being awake.

You can join Patreon for a dollar and still get on the calls where I'll be

answering any questions you have. And I'm also interested in finding out your opinion on the

earlier Roman Empire and what areas of research interest you the most. If you're missing the

podcast and would like to hear more from me, then I've recently been interviewed on two different

podcasts.

I spoke with Jeremy and Alex from the In Bed by Nine podcast.

We spoke about the narrative coming to an end, the business side of podcasting and the ups and downs of being a content creator.

And I was then on the badass of the week podcast talking about Nysiferous Focus, who I nominated

as the most badass Byzantine general, and we talked about his life. So go check out those shows

if you're interested. I also just wanted to say thank you again to all the patrons for their

support and to those of you who've been donating via the link at the history of Byzantium.com. Lots of you sent lovely messages, which I can't reply to, but I have

seen them all, and I'm very grateful, and I will get to all the emails eventually. I also see lots

I'm told that the bellissarius t-shirts are neck and neck with the Julius Caesar t-shirts,

which I don't think would happen with any other group of people.
