Summary

In case you didn't know, we're still making two episodes a month for our Patreon and Apple Plus subscribers. We wanted to give all of our listeners a little preview of our most recent episode! Consider joining our Patreon to listen to the rest of the episode(or watch the episode!), get additional bonus episodes, ad-free episodes, and join a community of Terribles. (Or, if you’re an Apple Podcast listener, you can sign up for TTFA Premium right in the app!) _ Earlier this year we did a bonus episode showcasing obituaries from your dead loved ones. Nora cried throughout the entire episode, so we wanted to do it again! There were so many obituaries we couldn’t read the first time, so we’re honored to share more of your beautiful loved ones and we wanted to give all of our listeners a little preview of that bonus episode! It’s truly an honor to learn about all of the people you loved, so thank you for sharing them with us.  _ Here’s the full article from Shiri, who wrote about the abortion she had to save her son’s life. _ Also, check out Nora on YouTube. _ Please send us your questions and comments about this episode or any other! You can email us at ttfapremium@feelingsand.co or leave us a voicemail at 612-568-4441.  — Find all our shows and our store at feelingsand.co Learn more about your ad choices. I kind of owe my career to an obituary. I'm actually an award-winning obituary

0:32.1

which is something that I don't know if they have obituary

0:36.1

awards, but I won an award for writing an obituary, and guess what? It's not really my award.

0:42.2

I had a co-author and that co-author was my husband because

0:45.7

we wrote his obituary together before he died, which is kind of strange. Usually people do wait

0:52.2

until somebody's dead before they write their obituary but my husband was 35

0:58.4

he had just entered hospice we were laying in bed we were watching game of Thrones he said I can't believe I'm not going to know how this show ends. And you know what? I'm glad.

1:08.0

One small mercy to him dying in 2014 is he didn't have to see the end of Game of Thrones.

1:13.5

Okay, he got to die when that show was kind of at its best and he didn't have to see,

1:21.5

you know, you know what he didn't have to see. You know, I know, that show just kind

1:26.0

of just like right at the end. And I'd say it to their face. I'd say it to their face.

1:31.0

And this is me saying it to their face they're obviously watching

1:33.0

this.

1:34.0

Anyways, Aaron and I wrote his obituary together because I did not want to do it alone and because he was

1:40.9

such a specific person and I wanted him to decide what was important

1:49.6

and how he wanted to be remembered. And he wanted to be remembered as himself,

1:55.0

not as this sad story.

1:57.5

Oh, I'm 35, I died of brain cancer.

1:59.8

Everyone's gonna miss me.
