but I am joined by John McCormick of the Dispatch. He's a great writer and reporter. He worked

with me at the Weekly Standard. We just do a Weekly Standard alum podcast around here. John,

What's going on in your life?

You know, not much. I've got the in-laws coming in town this weekend. I'm going to do some minor renovations. My father-in-law is a master electrician. So he actually like builds things with his hands, like army bases and Walmarts and all sorts of things. And so I guess my wife wants sconces, which are a thing. I just learned that. They're very helpful. And yeah, you know, it's great to have a, someone who can actually do something with his hands other than type articles with them.

It's a nice feature to have in the family. Sconses are a big thing right now. A lot of people go

with like battery operated ones so you can just put them on the wall without having to do the

whole electrician thing. But I know that your

wife deserves wired sconces. The real stuff. Yeah. And so that is, that is exciting. I actually,

I'm a little jealous that she's going to get wired sconces. That's how they are. If you need some,

if you need some sconces this weekend, I'm sure her dad would help. Send him over.

My husband does light fixtures.
