Welcome to our Thursday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth. Today I'm nearing the end of my third week of teaching on more grace, more favor.

I've been using James Chapter 4 and First Peter Chapter 5. they basically say the same thing.

James Chapter 4, verse 6 says, but he giveth more grace.

Wherefore he saith, God resisted the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble submit yourselves

therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you and I've said a lot of

things I've been countering a lot of misconceptions about what pride is.

People think pride is only exulting yourself, but pride can be debasing yourself, afraid to say what God has said about you or a truth that

God is revealed to you because you're afraid of what people are going to say.

You're seeking the honor that comes from them. I use this

verse yesterday in John Chapter 5, verse 44 where Jesus said, how can you believe which

receive honor one of another and seek not the honor that

cometh from God only. In other words if you're a man-pleaser if you're afraid to

speak out because somebody might reject you it might cost you something you know what

that is that's pride it that pride doesn't have to be just exalting yourself pride is

exalting yourself. Pride is exalting self above God, seeking the honor that comes
