0:34.2	object to be downed in US airspace since the start of the month, including the surveillance balloon
0:39.1	from China. This is open the door to criticism, especially from GOP lawmakers, that the Biden
0:44.0	administration is not providing enough answers about what's going on. Idris Ali Reuters is here with
0:49.4	us for a reality check on the situation. Hey, Idris, how are you? Good. How are you? What are all of
0:55.2	these objects? Are not all of them surveillance balloons? So the first one that we heard about on
1:00.4	January 28th was definitely a Chinese spy balloon based on everything the US government has said
1:07.0	and some of the evidence that they've shared with us. Since then, we have had three more
1:13.4	objects. They are not being categorized as spy balloons. And part of the reason is the US
1:18.4	government and it tells community just doesn't know. It doesn't appear to be the case,
1:22.6	but it also is possible that when they do more analysis, they come back and say, actually,
1:27.0	these were all spy balloons. It's very long. We have saying they don't know the answer.
1:31.7	Do we know if they're actually suddenly more of these? Let's just say flying objects, or is it
1:38.3	that the US military and the media is paying more attention? In terms of spy balloons,
1:44.6	there were four incidents over the past five years of the United States, right? So those have
1:49.6	happened. They were just never disclosed. What hadn't happened is for this balloon-like object
1:56.6	fly through the middle of America for so many people to see. So if it flies over Alaska,
2:02.0	there are less people, less likely to be spotted if they sort of touched the coast of Hawaii,
2:06.4	again, not as populated. So one school of thought is that there is definitely more of these things.
