I want to start because this is funny.

So this has become really far shirkled.

Washington, D.C. has been a hellhole for decades.

It should be a gleaming city, right?

It should be the most beautiful grand city in America.

Everybody from all over the world comes to see the home of the president.

I mean, the home of freedom, the leader of the free world, right? Everything in Washington should look great. But Congress made a mistake in 1973.

You know, Washington's not a state, it's the District of Columbia.

And Washington's government, the D.C. government, is not really in charge.

It's ultimately Congress and the president.

But in 1973, they passed something called Home Rule.

And they gave Washington, D.C., it's city council and mayor, more power, more control.

And the people who have been on the city council and in the mayor's office for over 50 years now. It's been a 52 year experiment.

And it's been a disaster. Whoever has been elected has ruined the place. I mean, just, you remember,
