Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes with these words. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Each of us have been given only one life. What will we do

with it? Life. It's not a game. And in this journey through the book of Ecclesiastes,

There are lots of lies that the devil likes to tell.

You know, Jesus identified Satan as a liar.

John chapter 8, verse number 44, not only as a liar, but as the father of all lies.

And, you know, he speaks through many voices.

He uses many mouthpieces to speak his lies. Ecclesiastes, the book we're studying currently,

is the story of a man who believe those lies and then finally told the truth. You see, truth leads to life. Lies lead to death.

All of Satan's lies lead to death. And only the truth can cut through that. We come to one of them today in Ecclesiase chapter 7 and verse number 26. Solomon finally comes to a conclusion about immorality.

He says,

And I find more bitter than death.

The woman whose heart is snares and nets and her hands as bands,

who so pleaseth God shall escape from her, but the sinner shall be taken by her.

Do you know what Satan's lie is? Satan's lie is that there's nothing worse than death.

But I'm here to tell you, there is something worse than death.

In fact, Solomon says that for a believer, for an upright person, there is something that is more bitter.

It is to live in sin.
