I'm I'm Welcome back to Nothing Personal.

It is a Monday, and we are now toward the middle of May for longtime fans of Nothing Personal.

We've been doing this since October of 2019.

We are on episode 1,453, and that's not even including sit downs from the old days and mailbags and everything else.

You know that I break the baseball season and pretty much anything in my life into early, middle, and late.

You know that.

We are now getting toward the late part of early in Major League

Baseball. And that's amazing because by the end of May will be a third done, which means it's no

longer early. When you get into June, July, that's the middle of the season. August, September

is late. You break it up into three, two-month increments. When we are halfway through the second month of the first increment, you're no longer early, early. You're not even mid-early. We are late early. So it's still early, but listen, it's getting late. And there's some things that are happening on the field that have gotten great attention we will talk about

some of the teams yes we will but i wanted to start somewhere else i wanted to start with what has

become the top conversation not the dodgers not otani slump which we'll talk about not how great

the cubs aren't Wrigley.

We may get to that. No, I'm talking about ABS. ABS has been the it conversation since day

one of this season. The challenge system that is now in place where fans seem to love it when a player taps his head.

No flags being thrown, no red hankies, no baseball managers putting their hands to their ears saying replay.

It's the old head tap.

And the reason why fans love it, not that it's sponsored,

which is still cool and good for baseball.

They love it because it gives them something to root for,

something to cheer about,
