Summary

In this true-crime show, Marc explores the complicated relationship between convicted murderer Jeffery McDonald and journalist Joe McGinnis. A brief background on the story - In 1979 Jeff was convicted of the murder of his wife and two children. Jeff meets Joe McGinnis, a famous young author at the time and the two became fast friends to the point that Joe agrees to write a book about Jeff’s case to prove his innocence. The book, Fatal Vision, becomes a smash bestseller and a TV limited series watched by 65 million people, but the story it Joe tells isn’t quite the story Jeff expected and sets off a series of events that ruin both of their lives. The Fatal Vision fiasco was a massive public sensation throughout the 80s and Marc has done incredible reporting in this show, uncovering some never before heard audio between Joe McGinnis and Jeffery McDonald. https://sheilawysocki.com PI Page: www.sheilawysocki.com Podcast Page: www.withoutwarningpodcast.com Patreon: www.withoutwarningpodcasts.com Twitter: @scrappymomPI Instagram: @withoutwarningpi @privateeyepups Facebook: Without Warning PI All rights reserved © Learn more about your ad choices.
